Kindergarten Curriculum at St. Patrick’s Academy is an amalgam of Kindergarten, Waldorf and High scope methods of teaching where children learn actively by having hands-on experiences with their surroundings. Here learning is supported through consistent daily routines and well-organized classrooms. The goal of adopting these methodologies is to develop a child’s senses, character, practical life skills, and academic ability. We at Kindergarten strive to generate a strong inner enthusiasm for learning and develop children’s innate abilities and talents. With a child centered approach the 3 year kindergarten cycle (Nursery,LKG,UKG) includes Pre –writing strokes, capital letters A-Z, cursive letters big and small, vocabulary building, reading skill, pre-number concepts, shapes, numbers 1-500, environmental science, storytelling, rhymes, other skill building activities, color days and community days.

27th March 2021 would be marked as a Red letter Day in the annuls of St. Patrick’s Academy, Bangalore. In a solemn, celebratory and prayerful gathering – strictly following the covid-19 protocols – the entire school community – the management and the teaching staff – bid farewell to class XII students of 20-21 batch in the presence of their parents. The occasion was solemn as we were bidding adieu to the eleven students who were part and parcel of this institution – some of them spent eleven years. It was celebratory as there were singing, dancing and exchange of mementos. The Principal, Bro. Paul, gave his message of exhortation and good wishes to the outgoing students. You will always be remembered and spoken of as Patricians.
The feast of St. Patrick is an auspicious day in the calendar of St. Patrick’s Academy. A virtual feast was organised to bring the festivities to our students home. Rev. Br. Christopher Dawes, the Manager, spoke about the life of St. Patrick, the Apostle of Ireland. He explained the importance of shamrock and how St. Patrick explained the Holy Trinity to the people by using a shamrock, the three leafed plant which is today the Irish National Emblem. The children were also given an opportunity to enjoy the highlights of the Talent Search competitions and the prize distribution of its winners. The little patricians proudly watched the felicitation ceremony of the first NCC batch of 21 cadets on this day.
Trained Innovative Minds Sow Future Scientists and Technologists... St. Patrick’s Academy Bengaluru conducted virtual science exhibition on 27th February 2021. The young Patricians participated in full fervour and zeal. More than three hundred students came up with many innovative ideas and their working as well as still models were highly appreciable. Those were the Eureka moments for our budding engineers, doctors, educators and entrepreneurs as they brought to light their new ’inventions’. The brain storming sessions by the teachers and the support from the parents in preparing them for the exhibition cannot go unnoticed.
Congratulations to all !!!
