St.Patrick's Day Celebration

St. Patrick's Day has evolved to become a secular and global celebration of Irish culture. It is celebrated on March 17 every year. The day is recognized as the Feast of St.Patrick. While observing the day we remember St.Patrick, the patron saint of our school, who ministered to Christianity in Ireland during the fifth century. According to Irish legend, Saint Patrick used the shamrock as a metaphor for the Holy Trinity when he was first introducing Christianity to Ireland.
We began the celebration by conducting morning assembly with the blessings of St.Patrick. Our Principal, Rev. Bro.George Joseph addressed the assembly with a message. He said that being a patrician we must stay disciplined and carry solidarity and truth at all times. A special gathering for the staff was conducted wherein the first Principal of the school, Rev. Bro. Britto M. marked his presence. A prayer was dedicated for all, followed by cake cutting. A short video was presented by Rev. Bro.Y.Joseph Melki Satheak which encompasses the footprints of Patrician Brothers across the country in various dimensions. The celebration concluded with a sumptuous afternoon lunch.

Passing Out Of NCC Cadets

NCC (National Cadets Corps) was introduced in St. Patrick's Academy in the year 2018. The very purpose of introducing NCC at the National level on 16th April, 1948 was to inculcate values in the youth of the nation. NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens; keeping these basic aims in mind and to give a holistic development to the Patricians NCC was introduced and the students who passed out – 21 in number – stood the test of time have proved they are in possession of these above qualities in ample measure. NCC also aims to creating a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, and we would vouch, these 21 of the cadets and the ones who passed out the previous years have these qualities in good measure. It could be seen in the confident steps they took to march to the stage. The Principal, Rev. Bro. George Joseph, exhorted the cadets to keep the aims and objectives of the NCC in mind and be available to take up leadership roles as and when occasions arise. Mr. Jagdeesh, the NCC in charge too deserves our praise for the way the cadets turned up for the event on 4th March, 2022 for the final certification.
