St.Patrick’s Day

The feast of St. Patrick is an auspicious day in the calendar of St. Patrick’s Academy. A virtual feast was organised to bring the festivities to our students home. Rev. Br. Christopher Dawes, the Manager, spoke about the life of St. Patrick, the Apostle of Ireland. He explained the importance of shamrock and how St. Patrick explained the Holy Trinity to the people by using a shamrock, the three leafed plant which is today the Irish National Emblem. The children were also given an opportunity to enjoy the highlights of the Talent Search competitions and the prize distribution of its winners. The little patricians proudly watched the felicitation ceremony of the first NCC batch of 21 cadets on this day.

The young Patricians participated in full fervour and zeal. More than three hundred students came up with many innovative ideas and their working as well as still models were highly appreciable. Those were the Eureka moments for our budding engineers, doctors, educators and entrepreneurs as they brought to light their new ’inventions’. The brain storming sessions by the teachers and the support from the parents in preparing them for the exhibition cannot go unnoticed.
